Anti-Smoking Bylaw
Calgary 's restaurants & Bars are subject to the Anti-Smoking Bylaw, as part of a phased-in approach leading to a total smoking ban in 2008. Until 2007, establishments not allowing children (under 18) may declare themselves entirely smoking or non-smoking. Those allowing entrance to minors (or employed them) must be entirely non-smoking. Restaurants & bars that have self-contained (walls and doors) and separately ventilated areas may continue to have smoking areas from January 1, 2007 until December 31, 2007..
ALL PATIOS are declared non-smoking. Smoking is also prohibited within 5 metres of any doorways. Complaints may be made to bylaw officers by dialing "311".
