Scenic Acres is west of Nose Hill Drive, between Crowchild Trail and the Bow River.
The area has great mountain and Bow River Valley views.
Schools
Scenic Acres, a 15 year old community has its own elementary separate school, Monsignor Doyle
Elementary on Scurfield Drive. Junior high students attend St. Vincent de Paul in Varsity,
and high schoolers go to St. Francis on Northmount Drive.
Public board students attend Belvedere Park Elementary across the river in Bowness,
Thomas B. Riley Junior High and Bowness Senior High.
Shopping
Crowfoot Town Centre, off Nose Hill Drive, has a Safeway and Revy, restaurants and several auto dealers.
Also nearby is Northland Village Shoppes on Shaganappi Trail.
Recreation
Scenic Acres is about 15 years old with recreation facilities that include
soccer pitches and ball diamonds (in two school sites) with additional soccer, ball and
tennis facilities in the south part of the community. The two hockey arenas in Scenic
Acres are owned jointly by the community associations in Scenic Acres, Silver Springs and Varsity.
Homes
Scenic Acres is about 15 years old, and is now a fairly established neighbourhood. The community is mostly single family homes in a range of styles, with some multi-unit condominiums and semi-detached homes around the community.
