West End
In the West End, there are many choices, most centered around the West Edmonton Mall. Cajun-French food can be found at Café Orleans, English pub fare at The Elephant and Castle Pub and Restaurant in West Ed are an indication of the range. There'a also Café Pablo Piccasso, with its artsy atmosphere, The Ritz Diner for burgers with a cherry coke. you can also grab a bit at the famous North American standbys: Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and Hooter's. For an after dinner desert, try Vi's for Pies, on Stoney Plain Road.
North Side
There are plenty of great restaurants on Edmonton's North Side. Try authentic Ukrainian food at the Pyrogy House. Visit the Candlelite Café for international cuisine, including a five-course dinner special every day. For Greek food, Syrtaki Greek Island Restaurant offers a wide selection of great Greek food.

Edmontonians love to eat out and the city's restaurants give them what they're looking for - a varied selection and great taste. There are hundreds of restaurants in Edmonton to choose from. The city is home to many nationalities and its restaurants reflect this by offering a variety of fare from Eastern to European to Southern-style cooking. You can find the taste you're looking for in every corner of the city and after a visit once, you'll keep coming back for more. Here's a few suggestions for you the next time you're looking for a meal you won't forget. 
Downtown offers plenty of excellent places to eat, and not just for weekday lunches. Many offer Edmonton's finest (and most expensive) dining experiences. The downtown is home to two excellent French restaurants: Claude's on the River (on Jasper Avenue), and The Creperie. For spicy Thai or Vietnamese offerings, check out Doan's Noodle House and The Oriental Noodle House. If you're looking for a convenient meal while shopping, have a sandwich at Baraka Café. If you're looking oub fare and a home-brewed beer, try Brewster's Brewing Company.
