Automobiles: Battery Charger Care
You can recharge your auto battery from time to time using a recharger.
- Unplug the charger the wall outlet before connecting or disconnecting the leads to the battery
- Always connect charge output lead to non-grounded battery post first (not connected to chassis) and then connect opposite lead to the chassis, away from the battery, and particularly away from the fuel line and carburetor.
- Always disconnect the chassis lead first after charging battery. Do not overcharge the battery beyond manufacturer's specifications. See instruction manual for details.
- Do not smoke, strike match, cause sparks or use open flame near battery during charging. Use in well ventilated area.
