Fraser Valley's Abbotsford Festivals Listing

Abbotsford sure loves its festivals, be it spring, summer, fall or winter. Throughout the year, many different festivals and annual events are put on by various local groups.

CRB Reginal Heritage Fair

Held at only 3 sites around the province, this Fair provides local students in grades 4-8 a chance to celebrate their heritage. At the MSA Museum 604-853-0313

Abby Fringe Fest

June

Three days of Abbotsford fringe fun, a diverse mix of eclectic productions, making their debut in remarkable settings. Downtown Abbotsford (604) 852-9358

Canada Day Celebrations

July 1

Parade through town to Centennial Park. After parade, spend an afternoon of festivities, food and entertainment at Centennial Park.

Abbotsford Berry Festival

early July

Llively celebration of local berry products: strawberry, raspberry and blueberry. Entertainment includes bingo, children’s rides, fishing in a mini-pond and craft displays, and a downtown Abbotsford merchants’ street party and sidewalk sales on five streets blocked off to traffic. Annual attendance between 25,000-30,000 people. Downtown Abbotsford: Essendene, Montrose and West Railway Ave.

Clayburn Village Heritage Day

July

A celebration of Clayburn’s past featuring guest speakers, children’s games, entertainment, guided Heritage walking tours, and high tea with baked goods. In Clayburn Village

Sumas Day

Garlic Festival

Annually 3rd or 4th Sunday in July

Abbotsford International Airshow

Second weekend of August

Abbotsford International Airshow is one of the leading Airshows in North America. It attracts the world’s top aeronautical performers with spectacular air demonstrations of squadrons performing dramatic aerobatic feats, daring skydrivers, and soloists. Abbotsford Airport. (604) 852-8511

Museum Mac’s Mill Lake Meander

second Sunday in August

5-K family fun run around Mill Lake: walk, run or push a stroller. T-shirt with registration. Lots of prizes. AT MSA Museum/Trethewey House

Abbotsford Agrifair

BC Day long weekend in August

A five day celebration with professional rodeo, free stage entertainment, fireworks, and other attractions like: draft horses, dairy beef (hands-on milking demonstrations), llama, poultry, petting farm, antique farm machinery display, midway, motor sports, and home variety trade show. Abbotsford Exhibition Park 10 am to 11 pm

Medieval Fair

Early August

This fair, sponsored by the Northern Society for Creative Anachronism provides a re-enactment of medieval life, including demonstrations of village life, handicrafts, costumes, and combat.
