Harrison Festival of the Arts

The Harrison Festival is a 10-day celebration of world music, dance, theatre, and visual arts, with over 200 international, national, and local performers, artists, and guests participating. On weekends, the festival presents a juried art market along the beach featuring some of the finest artisians in BC. One of the most popular festival events is children's day, with music, clowns, jugglers, face-painting, and much more 796-3664

World Championship Sand Sculpture Competition

Early September

Teams get 100 person-hours to complete their sculpture with small teams starting on Wednesday, larger teams joining on Friday and Saturday, to be ready for judging by 3 pm Sunday. Teams are competing for $13,500 in prize money, while solo sculptors have 22 hours to complete their sculpture, competing for $5000.00 in prize money. Admission to the Sand Sculpture Park during the competition is $5.00 for adults and $1.00 for kids under thirteen. 796-3425
