Many people think that only architects can design office apace. This is not true. To build a building or add or change structures you need an architect involved, but for interior improvements, an interior designer can be used, too. Most often the design firm is either an Interior Designer or an Architect, both professionals licensed by the provincial association of architects. Many times the landlord will recommend a design firm, often because they are familiar with the structure and history of the building and space. Be sure to check references from clients and that you like their work, not just the quality of the work but the style. It needs to fit your business.

Some of these services are also offered by your general contractor, so you should be sure that you have the right firm performing the task, and that you do not pay twice for the same service.
