Water challenges on 10 of the 18 holes in a picturesque rolling terrain. Six holes are par 3s. Bent grass greens are featured on this course, opened in 1993.A true Fraser Valley gem, Les Furber's task in the creation of Belmont was to design a course that could be challenging to amateurs and pros alike but, above all, be fun to play for all. Sparing nothing in his design, Furber embraced his mission head-on and loaded each of the course's 18 holes with a multitude of challenges - incorporating generous scatterings of water and sand throughout for memorable effect. Belmont's signature hole is the par three 14th. Starting from its elevated tee, golfers are required to propel their shots up to 217 yards (from the championship tee) en route to a green protected to its right and rear by water. |

Thurs | Golf Pro | Gary D. Sedor | Comments | Combination of flat and hilly fairways. Two elevations, oval greens and sand traps, plus a long 380-yard 18th, which starts on the edge of a cliff, combine for a challenging course.Nestled on the banks of the Fraser and Salmon River, Fort Langley Golf Course is a hidden gem in a country setting. Championship golf can be played from our blue tees measuring 6377 yards. With tight tree lined fairways, numerous sand bunkers, ponds and smooth undulating greens, every club in your bag will be tested. Our Signature Hole #16, is a daunting test of accurate shot making. A drive of 240 yards is required to a tight landing area. From there a precise mid to long iron shot is required to set up your approach shot to the green. An elevated green awaits a well-struck short iron, which will give you an excellent birdie chance. WARNING ! Do not leave your approach shot short as it could roll down the steep incline toward the fairway. |

The highlight is the 12th hole with a 199-yard par 3 from an elevated tee to a green set within a circled wall of rocks. Newlands Golf & Country Club rates as one of the Fraser Valley’s most challenging and memorable 18 hole layouts. Highly regarded for its aesthetic beauty, Newlands’ lush fairways are immaculately maintained. Many colourful flowerbeds grace the course. Stately evergreen trees shelter its fairways, and provide a secluded atmosphere in places. On many holes, attractive rock walls can be found, sometimes entering play by affecting an errant shot’s bounce. One of the best holes on this semi private course is the distinctive 12th – highly regarded by members for both its appearance and its challenge. This 199 yard par three plays from an elevated tee box towards a green encircles by a rock wall. Newlands is pleased to introduce a “new” executive layout to complement the Championship 18 Hole Course. Nestled north of the Championship 18 is a golfing jewel to be discovered. Newlands North Executive measures just over 2000 yards from the back tees. The course will present a challenge for the experienced golfer and when played from the forward tees will be an enjoyable day for the newcomer and super senior alike. |

Red Tailed hawks and black tail deer are common on the course. The challenges lie in a hilly terrain, several small lakes and sand bunkers. |
