The Boyce Farmers' Market, a Saturday morning tradition for Frederictonians, is celebrating 50 years this summer. There are over 215 vendors of fine local crafts, foods, fresh meats and vegetables, and more. The actual building was constructed in 1951 but Fredericton has had a long history of the farmers market. Before this time, City Hall had been the Market venue since it was built in 1876.
