Fredericton has some great opportunities to watch somebody ELSE sweat it out, with some top-level competitive athletes.New Brunswick Interational Speedway You can watch auto racing in its various forms at the New Brunswick Interational Speedway, on Route 7 between Fredericton and Saint John (take Exit 29 at Geary to Route 660) 506-454-7223. Woodstock Subway Slammers. This team is nearby Woodstock's team in the Maritime Jr Hockey League, and represents the ambitions of all city residents. They play at the Carleton Civic Centre in Woodstock, and you can phone: (506) 325-4671 for tickets. University of New Brunswick Reds. The UNB teams are all call "Reds". The University fields teams in the sports of Basketball, Volleyball, Hockey, Soccer, Swimming, Field Hockey, and Rugby, which play other Universities across the Maritimes. (506) 566-0627. Fredericton Raceway You can catch harness & horse racing (and casino) action on the grounds of the Fredericton Exhibition Grounds (FREX) on Smythe Street (506) 458-8819. Fredericton Yacht Club. Founded in 1938, the Fredericton Yacht Club is located on one of the most scenic points of the Fredericton waterfront with a panoramic view of the Harbour.
