Halifax is nestled at the eastern coastline of Nova Scotia (about midway between Canso and Yarmouth). The city is located at 44 degrees north and 63 degrees west and uses Atlantic Standard Time (an hour east of Toronto or New York) and has the world's second largest harbour, after Sydney, Australia.
