Homes: East Hamilton Neighbourhood
This part of Hamilton, east of Kenilworth, lies below the Escarpment and straddles Red Hill Creek which for many years was pure parkland and is now home to the Red Creek Expressway, which connects the QEW to the Lincoln Alexander Expressway to the 403. 
SchoolsThis are is served by 16 elementary schools and 4 high schools, and 2 public libraries. For post-secondary education, students must commute to nearby Mohawk COllege or McMaster University. Shopping The area is served by three significant malls: Centre Mall in the west, Queenston Mall in the middle, and Eastgate Mall along the Centennial Parkway. Recreation This area is bisected by Red Creek, which for many years was pristine parkland, with a number of parks alongside (Rosedale, King's Forest, Laurier, and Hillcrest) though now Red Creek has become an expressway route (only time will tell how right the Expressway's naysayers were). Along the waterfront is Globe Park with its Museum of Science and Technology, and of course Hamilton Beach along the shores of Lake Ontario. There are also two large golf courses in the area, and there are movie theatres just to the west in Centre Mall and to the east in Fiesta Mall. Community Map
