Transportation: Driving Directions
From the EastFrom Toronto, Oakville, BurlingtonTake Highway 403 to the "Highway 8/West Main Street" exit and head east into downtown. If you are heading to east Hamilton, you can thake the 403/QEW to Exit 100 and turn south over the James N Allen Skyway and exit at either Burlington Street or the Centennial Parkway. For Stoney Creek, continue on teh QEW until the designated exit. From Toronto Airport (Pearson International) If you are driving, tke the 427 south to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), and head west to Hamilton, and follow the above directions into the city. GO Transit (1-888-438-6646) provides weekday service between Pearson International and the Hamilton GO Station (if heading to McMaster, University, transfer buses at the Bramalea GO Station). Weekend service is provided by Pacific Western’s Airport Express to downtown Toronto, with a transfer to GO Transit’s QEW express to downtown Hamilton. From the SouthFrom the Niagara PeninsulaFor east Hamilton, follow the Queen Elizabeth Way anmd exit at either the Centennial Parkway or Burlington Street. For downtown, you can get off at Burlington Street or (as you would for west Hamilton) follow the Queen Elizabeth Way over the Skyway Bridge as though going to Toronto, and take Highway 403 west towards Hamilton to the "Highway 8/West Main Street" exit and head east into downtown. Transit options: Coach Canada (1-800-461-7661) offers service from Niagara Falls and St. Catharines to downtown Hamilton, with stops in a number of Niagara communities. From the WestFrom Kitchener/WaterlooTake Highway 8 to the Town of Dundas. From there, turn right off King Street onto Main Street (which for a short time turns to Osler Drive, and then back to Main Street) which takes you past McMaster University and into downtown Hamilton. Transit options: Coach Canada's service from Kitchener and Cambridge, with stops in Sheffield, Rockton and West Flamborough, stops in front of McMaster at Main & Emerson streets and downtown at to GO Station. From Brantford, Woodstock and London from London and points west, head east on the 401 to Exit 235 to Hihgway 403 east through Brantford to Hamilton. From Brantford, travel on Highway 403 to the Main Street exit, and head east into downtown. Transit options: Greyhound (1-800-661-8747) offers service from London, Ingersoll, Woodstock, Paris and Brantford.
