The Kitchener-Waterloo area has a couple of very active Farmers' Markets:
Kitchener Farmers Market

Since the 1830s, Kitchener's weekly market has offered fresh & quality meat, fowl, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, herbs, roots, fish, cheese and flowers. Today in a modern urban market with 50-foot transparent ceilings and walls of windows flooding the market space with natural light.
Cambridge Farmers' Market

Since 1830 at the same location. Farm goods and fresh-picked fruits and vegetables, in season.
Named the best year-round Farmers' Market in Ontario by Foodland Ontario for 2001.
St. Jacobs Farmers' Market and Flea Market

Junction of Weber Street and King Street North, 2 km south of St. Jacobs.
Open each Thursday and Saturday, year-round, and Tuesdays, from June 1st to the end of October.
During the harvest season, 600 vendors sell their smoked meats, sausage and schnitzel, locally grown fruits and vegetables as well as a hearty variety of cheeses, freshly baked breads and traditional Waterloo County fare. On Tuesdays and Thursdays host the livestock auction of hogs, calves, dairy and beef cattle.

Has been running since 1847 and is held year-round on Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 7 am to 2 pm.
Attracts 40-50 vendors in summer, and 35 vendors in winter.
