Homes: Erin Mills Neighbourhood
Erin Mills is the community between the #403 highway in the west and north, the QEW to the south and Mavis in the east. This area is a newer residential area for Mississauga, bounded by significant industrial lands adjoining the 403 in the west and along Mavis in the east. The community is close to both the Credit Valley Hospital to the north and the Mississauga Hospital to the east. The area's commuters are served by the Erindale GO Station. Schools There are 14 elementary schools, 4 secondary schools, 1 private/religious school in this community, as well as 3 libraries. It is home to the University of Toronto in Mississauga, with Sheridan College's Trafalgar campus just to the west in Oakville. Shopping The community is suburban mall heaven, with Sheridan Place and South Common along Erin Mills parkway, and several small ones scattered around, and Hyde Park Gate along its western edge. The community is close to the Streetsville and Cooksville (Dundas Street) shopping districts. Recreation Erin Mills has significant parkland along the Credit River, some used by the community's two golf courses, but much open to the public with recreational pathways. To the west are two entertainment complexes, the Oakville Entertainment Centrum with a 24 screen multiplex cinema, and the Erin Mills Power Centre with another 24 screen multiplex cinema.
