Today, Mississauga-Brampton is a key suburb in the Greater Toronto Area (the "GTA") with one of Canada's largest concentrations of head offices, as well as major manufacturing, warehousing and logistics. It is also home to Toronto's Pearson International Airport, Canada's busiest. It is sometimes hard to believe that this community began as a First Nations settlement on the shores of Lake Ontario at the mouth of the Credit River.
