Travel Accommodation: Choosing a Hotel or Motel
There are a number of considerations in selecting accommodations that can
make the difference between an enjoyable stay and a major headache, whether
your trip to the Mississauga area is for business or pleasure. You can select a hotel
based on its name, features,
price range, or its location.
There is accommodation in Mississauga-Brampton to suit any budget. You can stay at the local Hostel for only dollars a day, or you can stay in hotel suites that are good enough for visiting prime ministers. Pricing is somewhat seasonal. The summer travel season is offset by the year-round business needs of area head office, as well as by out-of-town travellers staying in airport-area hotels just before or after international trips. Each hotel's dates for high, low, and shoulder seasons differ a bit so watch your timing or your hotel. Our pricing guidelines (exclusive of taxes) are as follows:
Location The desired location of the hotel depends on the purpose of your visit. We have grouped the hotels by "Area" to assist you with selecting appropriate accommodation. The Area is in most cases, the city in which a hotel is located. Inside the cities of Mississauga and Brampton, we also list the part of town. If you are in Mississauga-Brampton on business, you should ensure you are staying in the RIGHT part of Mississauga, to be closest to your meetings. There is Malton around Pearson Airport, Streetsville in the west, Cooksville in the middle, Port Credit and Clarkson along the Lake, and Brampton north of the airport. If you are travelling along the major highways, Brampton is closest to the 407, Malton is closest to the 401, and Port Credit closest to the QEW. If you are visiting the area's many natural delights, then you'll want to choose accommodation that is fairly close to your favoured attractions. The Peel Region's many Conservation Areas are mostly north of Brampton, so accommodation in Bolton, Caledon or Orangeville are your best bet. Activities along the Lake suggest Port Credit and Clarkson are your best bet. If you are trying to find something VERY NEAR your meeting, use the "Postal" feature in the Hotel Search screen, where we match the first the digits/characters of the postal code! This also works on our Restaurant search, to find a restaurant near your hotel (and in every other search form on our site).
