The Lake, and the region's generally mild climate makes the area ideal for swimming, sailing, and windsurfing. Oakville Burlington are the industrial Heartland of the Golden Horseshoe, being home to Ford Motors and many other manufacturers, so close Toronto's consumers. The people here move by highways or by transit and Go-Train.
