These communities are built around artificial lakes, unique to this end of Regina. These communities are architecturally controlled, with guidelines regarding the streetscape, home size and even home colours.
This area, south of Victoria Ave above College Ave is full or larger frame houses, some of the oldest in Regina. It is prized for its proximity to both downtown and Wascana Lake
These communities in northwest Regina are about 50 years old, and have a number of smaller bungalows typically under 1,100 square feet, filled with retirees, and increasingly young couples.
Cathedral Area |and Crescents neighbourhoods lie just west of downtown. They are made up of mostly older homes in a well-treed area, and have the advantage of being close to both downtown and Wascana Park.
