University of 
Saskatchewan's Agriculture Building Saskatoon has a wide range of educational institutions, offering both degrees and a variety of career-oriented programs.

The University of Saskatchewan has a 755 hectare campus located on the east bank of the South Saskatchewan River just across the river from downtown, and has 17,000 students and 2,300 faculty and staff. "U of S," which has been in existence since 1907, offers 58 degrees, diplomas, and certificates in over 100 areas and disciplines. The University also owns three off-campus research farms including the 426 hectare Goodale Farm, the 643 hectare Kernen Crop Research Farm, and the 778 hectare Termuende Farm, and leases the 52 hectare Matador Research Station on the edge of Lake Diefenbaker.

The Yniversity is affiliated with a number of schools and colleges: Emmanuel and St. Chad (Anglican), St. Andrew's (United), Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Thomas More College (Catholic), Central Pentecostal College, Gabriel Dumont College, and St. Peter's Historic Junior College (Muenster). First year Arts & Sciences can be completed at Melfort, North Battleford, Yorkton, Prince Albert, Kindersley, La Ronge or Muenster. Off-campus credit courses may be taken at regional colleges and SIAST campuses throughout the province. (306) 966-4343

SIAST (Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology) is located at the Kelsey campus, just northwest of downtown Saskatoon. There is also a campus in Prince Albert, northeast of the city. The institute offers employment training programs in Agriculture, Applied and Visual Arts, Basic Education, Business, Community Services, Electronics, Health Science, Manufacturing, and Mechanical Servicing. There are a number of independent educational institutions including the West Co-op College (just east of U of S), and several smaller religious schools.
