Saskatoon is nestled centrally in the Province of Saskatchewan, just over 300 kilometres from the U.S. border and 258 kilometres NW of the provincial capital, Regina. Saskatoon is located on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River making for seven bridges within the city limits and over 300 acres of riverbank parklands.

Though Saskatoon appears a bit removed from provincial and federal politics, it causes locals to take a strong and active role in all levels of government.
