There are also beaches around Thunder Bay. It should be noted, that even in summertime, Lake Superior's waters are deep and cold and swimming is generally not recommended, even in summer.

  • Boulevard Lake - east bank by the high school
  • Kakabeka Falls - upriver of the dam has a roped off sandy beach.
  • Sleeping Giant - Marie Louise Lake in tge middle of the park has a sandy beach
