Performance Venue: Chan Centre for the Performing Arts
Chan Centre for the Performing Arts is located at 6265 Crescent Rd. (on the
UBC campus). The Chan Sun Concert Hall has capacity of 1100 to 1400 seats, depending upon configuration.
Seating is on three levels, Main, First Tier, Second Tier. The seats at the
back on each level are known as "parterre", "dress circle", and "upper circle".
The Centre also has two other halls: the BC Tel Studio Theatre with 180 to 288 seats,
and the Royal Bank Cinema with 158 seats.
To get to the Chan Centre from downtown, proceed West on 10th ave which becomes Chancellor Blvd. and eventually merges with NW Marine
Dr. Continue west past UBC Gate 3 to the Rose Garden Parkade. The Chan Centre is on your left.
Ample parking is available at UBC's Rose Garden Parkade ($3), located off NW Marine Dr, immediately west of the Chan Centre.
Additional paid parking is available on the UBC campus.
From the downtown core, take the #4 or #10 directly to the UBC campus. Bothe the #25 (connection at Nanaimo Skytrain
Station) and #41 (connection at Joyce Skytrain Station) also travel to the UBC campus.
The UBC bus loop is located at the centre of the campus at the intersection of East Mall and University Blvd. Proceed north
along East Mall and turn left at Crescent Rd. (approximate 5 minute walk).
The box office is located on west side of building across from the underground parkade.
It is open Monday to Saturday: 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., and performance dates
from 12:00 noon to the End of Intermission. Your can get tickets to UBC events,
held in the BCTel Studio Theatre, at the Frederic Wood Theatre Box
