Home: South Vancouver neighbourhood (Vancouver)
South Vancouver, which comprises the neighbourhoods of South Vancouver, Oakridge, and Marpole, is more mid-century suburban and middle-class than the rest of East Vancouver. Marpole, along the Fraser River is full of parks. Oakridge is more affluent and has a variety of churches and a Jewish community center. South Vancouver itself, sitting on the edge of the industrial lands along the Fraser, is still home to an incredibly diverse population. Southwest Marine Drive, along the Fraser easily connects the community to South Burnaby and New Westminster to the east, and the airport to the west.
