Homes: Grand Boulevard (North Vancouver)
The Boulevard community is built around a grand central boulevard between two lanes of the roadway, appropriately called Grand Boulevard, which was part of North Vancouver's improvements back in before World War I.
Shopping
North on Grand Boulevard is the Lynn Valley Centre, with a good retail selection, and a popular Pub. To the west is all the shopping on Lonsdale Avenue, including the Lonsdale Quay Market. Just to the east on Keith Road is the Park and Tilford Shopping Centre, with a movie theatre.
Schools
The area is served by Brooksbank Elementary and Ridgeway Elementary, Sutherland Secondary school, and the Keith Lynn Alternate School for special education. The public library is west on Keith at Lonsdale or to the north at Lynn Valley Mall. Capilano College is relatively close by.
Recreation
The community has a number of parks, including along Grand Boulevard and had a wild park with a ravine bordering along the Upper Narrows Highway.
Homes
The east-west streets are tree lined and generally quiet and family oriented. This upper part of the Boulevard is on a flat plateau, with a number of early 1900s heritage homes, and a lot of bungalows. Many homes offer views of the Burrard Inlet, Mount Baker, and Downtown Vancouver.
The neighbourhood has some starter homes and many older homes have been recently restored and improved.
Price Range: $300,000 to $950,000
