Fall is the start of the hockey season, and time for other indoor sports like basketball which help keep you in shape over the coming winter, for recreational pursuits (like skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, or hockey).

The Inner Harbour is the jewel of Victoria. It separates downtown Esquimalt, and the city's most famous landmarks are all built along its shore. The ferry from the US docks close to a smattering of Hotels. Next you pass the Undersea Gardens, the Wax Museum and the National Geographic Imax Theatre along the short walk towards the BC Legislature. A little further around you have the marina and The Fairmont Empress Hotel, famous for its afternoon High Tea, and the Convention Centre, which nudge against Victoria's Old Town, legendary for its many pubs and restaurants.

Victoria has a long tradition of hospitality. It was once the first stop off the ocean-going ship from ethe East Coast or Europe on the way to the Gold Rushes of the 1850's, and it was a British Navy post until very recent history, so was host to visiting sailors and dignitaries. Seaside cities always seem to be gteeming with great restaurants, nightlife, and other fun happenings.
