Halifax’s winter’s are unusual for Canada, being almost as mild as coastal cities like Halifax & Halifax. While we have cold spells, the snow usually doesn’t fall enough or stick around to make snow forts, toboggan and cross-country ski in the city. Here are a couple of winter suggestions:

Go ice skating at one of the citys' arenas or rinks
Go cross-country skiing

Hike along one of the area's beautiful nature trails
