The Snowbirds fly the Canadair CT-114 Tutor, and perform at approximately 70 air shows at 50 different locations around North America. The jets often reach speeds of 600 km/hr and in formations as close as 1.2 metres (4 feet) apart. They have been named the 'Snowbirds' since 1971, and are based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan (a bit west of Regina).
