The Oshawa-Durham region in central Ontario has a couple of local Farmers' Markets (roughly from west to eat):

Farmers' Market Newmarket Farmers' Market
Parking lot at the corner of Timothy Street and Doug Duncan Drive.
Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May to October
Est. 2000 with 25 vendors. Administered by Vendors Association 905-830-9895

Uxbridge Farmers' Market
Uxbridge Arena - 291 Brock Street North, River Valley Parking Lot (corner of Brock St. & Toronto St.)
Sunday 9 am to 1 pm form June to October
This new (2001) market has 10 vendors selling fruit, vegetables, baked goods, sausage and is administered by the Vendors Association, contact: Lisa Cooper 905-473-9867 or Gary Smith 905-852-5077

Pickering Markets

Pickering ON L1V 4H7
Over 600 vendors, including antique sellers, farmer's market and more, make their year-round home at the Pickering Farmer's Market. Open from 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. 905-426-3387. [More Info]

Durham Region Farmers' Market (Brooklin)
At Home Hardware at 64 Baldwin Street
near intersection of Highway 7 & 12
Open Saturday - 8 am to 3 pm from end of May - November 9th
Hosts the Brooklin Spring Fair (early June) and Harvest Festival, (early Sept). Est. 1998 12-16 vendors, administered by the Durham Region Farmers' Market Association. 905-852-5657.

Durham Region Farmers’ Market Association (Whitby)
Old Fire Hall on Brock St. at Colborne St. in downtown Whitby
June 1st to Oct 5th, Wednesdays 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Cobourg Farmers' Market
