This city offers near-nature jaunts in the Crystal Creek Conservation Area, the Fort Creek Conservation Area and along Red Creek Road to the city's northwest. Rock Climbing Rock climbing is gaining in popularity. There are plenty of interesting rocks around town, though experienced climbers either head north to the Agawa Canyon (which in wintertime has over forty waterfall ice routes. Scenic runs head through the area’s natural areas. There are several organized races over the summer, with a variety of distances, and several track & field meets each summer.
