The bear (named "Winnipeg") at the London Zoo that the stories started from, was
actually brought from White River. The town is located on the Trans-Canada, half
way between Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay. While in White River make sure you
take time to tour the state-of-the-art sawmill. There are also a couple of Provincial Parks
nearby as well as many beautiful lakes and lodges. Excellent hunting and fishing available.
