Downtown St John's
Shipping Downtown is align Water Street, which at 400 years old is the oldest commercial street in North America, with its colorful painted store fronts on 3 or 4 story Victorian brick and stone building. Stavenger Drive
This area, northwest of the downtown just off Torbay Road (past Torbay Road Mall and the Kmart Plaza) has the city's greatest concentration of "big box" stores, including Kent, Zellers, Costco, Walmart and Staples.
