Granville Island Crowd on a Saturday morning There is lots to see and do around Vancouver. Take a tour of the city's waterfront, either from land or by boat. You can visit a museums, lots of parks and waterfront greenspace, and activities and sports to keep anybody busy (and happy). We even have a page that has tips on hundreds of things to do with kids.

The gem of Vancouver is Stanley Park. It is the largest urban park in Canada, and is surrounded on three sides by water.

Lonsdale Quay Market in North Vancouver

Greater Vancouver covers much of the "Lower Mainland". You can head north of the Burrard Inlet to the North Shore community of North Vancouver, which lies between The Lion's Gate Bridge and Indian Arm, which poke north from Burrard Inlet. It has two large parks. The heart of the community is Lonsdale, which rises from the water's edge at the Seabus terminal. Nature lovers will enjoy Lynn Canyon's hiking trails and Mount Seymour's ski hill, and Deep Cove's water sports.
