There is lots to see and do around Victoria in the city. Take a tour of the city's shoreline, either from land or by boat. You can visit a museums, lots of parks and waterfront greenspace, and activities and sports to keep anybody busy (and happy). We even have a page that has tips on hundreds of things to do with kids.

Victoria is a semi-urban region with a number of other municipalities and communities. To the east of downtown is the community of Oak Bay, to the west, across the Inner Harbour is Esquimalt. A little further west are View Royal, Langford, Colwood, Metchosin, and finally the pretty waterfront community of Sooke. You can also head up the Saanich Peninsula, through Saanich, past Elk Lake to Central Saanich, the community of Brentwookd Bay (home to the famous Butchart Gardens), and further north to North Saanich and Sidney.
