This town of 700 is the gateway to Spruce Woods Provincial Heritage Park. The area was settled in 1879 and was named by settler James Duncan after the glens of his Scottish homeland, with "boro" being added to indicate town, though it didn't get incorporated as a town until 1949.

Annual events include the Glenboro Fun Fair and Vegas Daze (early October)
