Vehicles violating a parking (or other) by-law may be served with a ticket and/or towed away at the owner's expense. Parking violation fines vary from $20 to $350, and fines unpaid by the deadline specified on the ticket are pased on to the Ontario Court, and court costs may be added.

Further information regarding the by-laws may be obtained from the Mississauga Parking Enforcement Office at (905)896-5678, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. For weekend and after-hours enforcement, please call (905) 615-3000.

The City of Mississauga now offers the convenience of paying your parking tickets online. You can securely pay your parking tickets (any time of the day or night, seven days a week) using Visa, MasterCard or American Express. The city adds a convenience fee of $1.50 to any tickets paid online. When making payment on or after the due date, your fine may be subject to increase during the payment processing, in which case you will be asked to re-enter your parking ticket number and start over.

Brampton

Parking in Downtown Brampton is easy, and there are parking opportunities for over 2,000 vehicles in public and private facilities within Downtown.

There are three municipal parking garages to provide plenty of parking. They provide the First Hour Free on weekdays, and evenings after 7:30 pm and weekends are free.

The City’s parking by-law prohibits a vehicle from parked on the street:
  • between the hours of 2:00 am and 6:00 am; and
  • for more than three (3) hours at a time Residents may park on the street up to 14 days per calendar year per license plate (for the above two violations only) adn you should get Permission To Park On Street.
